We thought it would be best to establish our characters by having a read through of the scipt.
Duu it to being a short lesson we were unable to finish the entire script but I felt we started to really sink our teeth into our characters, when reading my lines I used an accent that I felt was authentic to the character. I was still using the idea of Roger Taylor when it came to portraying Brit, he has a huskiness in his voice that I personally think could be interpreted as quite Bohemian, and he has a relaxed and sharp personality that reflects his confidence.
I will intend on making the character my own and I will take inspiration from the character's portrayal in the stage show. But all in all I want to pick features from these sources and really make the character my own.
I enjoyed this lesson, everyone was excited about the show and the energy levels were fantastic. It's up to us now to all work on our characterisation.
